Middles

Definition

A middle is a situation where you can bet both sides of a point spread or total at different bookmakers with overlapping ranges, creating a scenario where both bets can win. The downside is limited (you lose the vig on one side) while the upside can be substantial.

Example

Book A: Team X -3.5. Book B: Team X +5.5. If Team X wins by 4 or 5, both bets win. You risk the vig on one side but have a chance for a double win — a middle.
