Unit Size

Definition

A unit is a standardized bet size expressed as a percentage or fixed amount of your bankroll. Using units allows bettors to compare performance regardless of bankroll size and helps maintain discipline in staking.

Example

If your bankroll is $2,000 and 1 unit = 1% = $20, a 2-unit bet is $40. Tracking results in units lets you benchmark against others: a +15 unit month is strong regardless of whether your bankroll is $2,000 or $200,000.
